Weekend reading.

I finished Heartstopper by Joy Fielding. It was a great thriller, mystery. I was totally surprised by the fantastic ending. Right now I’m about halfway through The Silence by (new-to-me-author) Tim Lebbon. The Silence is a good apocalyptic horror story for both young adults and adults. Lebbon sets a great pace with lots of dread and tension as the story builds. Spelunking, anyone? Well, I may not want to visit a cave anytime soon. I’m sure I’ll image a species of eyeless, bat/rat/squid lizards… Oh, the creatures reminded me of the monsters in the movie (one of my favorites) Pitch Black. I’m also reading the medical thriller Shock by Robin Cook. So far, so good. But I already know it’s not going to be among my favorite of Cook novels.
